Getting Started
1.
Create a user account. You cannot create pages or leave comments without an account.
2. Read the
FAQ.
3. Read about how to
Add A Page.
4. Read the
Formatting Rules and then test them out in the
Sand Box.
a. Did you know you can click on the question mark when you're in the editing box and it will show you the shortcut key combinations for formatting, so you don't have to use your mouse?
b. Remember, if there's something not explicitly explained in the formatting instructions or elsewhere, you can always view the code for a page that does what you want to do; all you have to do is add
/showcode to the end of the URL. For example, to see the code for this page, you can just change the URL to
http://directorium.org/GettingStarted/showcode∞
5. Check out the
Meta Categories page to see how categories should be used to organize information on this site.
6. Look on the
fandoms list and see if the fandom page you want to make has already been created. If it is, you can click on the "edit page" link at the bottom to add or correct information. If the page hasn't been created, go to the
Category Template page and see if there's a template for the kind of page you want to create.
7. Check out
WantedPages to see if there's a topic you know about that hasn't yet been documented. If so, write it up and feel cool.
